Greenwich in Autumn

Greenwich is one of my favourite spots in London and I recently took my sister there as she’s never been. I love to take people there when they are visiting the city for the first time as it is often quieter especially around the campus area. The National Maritime Museum however, though free of charge, is always flocked by hordes of school kids.
Behind the museum is Greenwich park which eventually leads to the observatory above the hill. It’s a bit of a climb but if the weather is pleasant, you can be treated to a pretty view of the area. Frankly, I have never been inside the observatory, perhaps someday I will.
It was already snowing in Toronto when I left early in November, so I was delighted to find that autumn has lingered longer in London and I could still enjoy the vibrant foliage at Greenwich Park before the season completely turned. My sister and I enjoyed our walk across the park and we spent far too long taking photos until our hands were nearly frozen. It was all worth it though!
